Watford Everton match preview

The last Saturday’s match of the 28th round brings us showdown between two teams from mid-table, where 11th-placed Watford currently has four points fewer than 9th-placed Everton. Both teams oscillate a lot recently, and we need to add that their match played last autumn at the Goodson had ended as Everton’s victory of 3-2.

Watford

Watford won Everton at home last year and its fans hope for similar outcome of the Saturday’s match. Everton

We have said in the introduction that the guests from Liverpool are more relaxed than their opponents given they occupy the 9th place in the table and have even eight points more than teams in the drop zone. On the other hand, Everton lags behind positions that lead to Europe for even 18 points, and it is expected that experienced manager Allardyce focus on securing survival as early as possible, and at the same time to start preparing the team for coming season.

Everton won Leicester and Crystal Palace in last two home matches, while outside its stadium it lost three times in a row, so now against Watford the Toffees definitely must play more aggressively if they want to stay undefeated. Regarding situation with the team, during previous match with the Palace defenders Coleman and Mangala, and midfielder Gueye got injured, while from before on the list are defenders Jagielka, Funes Mori and Baines, and midfielder McCarthy.
