The greatest derby in Ukrainian football, the Klasychne derby, is the last match between Shakhtar and Dynamo this season. Shakhtar won the title for the third time in a row, while Dynamo had to accept being runner-up. Dynamo is again a runner-up but not because it played badly but simply because Shakhtar was too strong. Dynamo fans can also say that their team was the only one who won Shakhtar this season and Dynamo went further in the Europa League from which was eliminated in the round of 16. Dynamo lost four league matches, out of which two at home to objectively much weaker rivals. They lost no matches in the Championship round but they drew three.
