Dinamo has done a great job in the 1st leg as it won by 2-0. It is a great advantage and result that visiting teams usually prefer in the second match. Rosenborg had underperformed and now ahead of them is a difficult task, but on the positive side they played well last Saturday and won in the Norwegian championship. Dinamo didn’t play in the meantime.

Rosenborg is in difficult situation before the 2nd leg. They didn’t play well in Zagreb and after already a half an hour they were losing by 2-0, so of course it was hard to annul such result. There had several chances which they didn’t put in good use, although the home team could score the third goal. Rosenborg doesn’t stand well in the Norwegian Eliteseriean either, although they have seven-game unbeaten streak. Due to a poor start of the season they lag behind leading Molde but they gradually reduce the backlog that stands at eight points right now. Interestingly, manager Horneland had sent the same team on the pitch in 3-2 win over Stabaek as he did against Dinamo. Helland might be a starter now.

Dinamo Zagreb

Dinamo did a great job in the 1st leg and they are now very close to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League. We would say it would be well deserved as Dinamo plays really good since the beginning of the season, and maybe it underperformed a bit only in the first match with Ferencvaros. Even then they dominated but they missed so many goal attempts, so they started the rematch having 1-1 result from the first match. Dinamo showed their true colours in Budapest where they won by 4-0. They were better team in match with Rosenborg at home and they scored both goals in the first half. Dinamo hasn’t played a league match in the meantime and we don’t expect changes in the starting line-up.

Verdict:

Rosenborg is forced to play offensively and must try to take a lead as soon as possible. We believe that the Norwegians can score at home but at the same time it is not likely to avoid receiving a goal as Dinamo has good attack and we expect to score a goal worth of the group phase of the Champions League.
