Levante and Betis are fighting for different goals this season. The host has with a long series of games without defeat fell to the edge of the relegation zone and is clear that they will fight for survival by the end of this season. Betis is playing changeable and they are recording victories and defeats, but they are still close enough to European positions and have the right to hope that they will qualify for Europa League. Levante is without a win, and Betis has not played a draw for a long time. In the first part of the season, it was 4-0 for Betis.
Levante was experiencing a lot of good things in the first part of the season, namely in the first five rounds when they recorded two wins and three draws, so they even took fifth place on the table. After that, they mastered Las Palmas in the middle of November, since they did not master anybody. They have played 12 championship matches since then and there is more defeats than draws, although they have 11 draws in La Liga. Likewise, together with Malaga they are the negative record holders with only three wins, so it is no surprise that they have fallen into the bottom of the table, although they have not yet been in the relegation zone.
If they still want to be above that zone, then they have to start winning quickly and this is perhaps a good opportunity, although their form is just not good. They were defeated smoothly in the two previous games in which they performed after the home draw with Real Madrid, when they won one point in Madrid. Coach Muniz is trying to make permanent changes to find a winning combination with the team and now Rochin, Lerma and Roger are jumping in the team.
Probable lineups Levante: Burki – Piszczek, Sokratis, Akanji, Schmelzer – Weigl – Castro, M.Gotze, Reus, Pulisic – Batshuayi
Betis continues with victories and defeats and no series lasts longer than two rounds. Lately they have mostly celebrated twice, and after two triumphs in a row, they lost again in the last round, but their opponent was the current champion Real Madrid, so they had a justification, even though they played at home. They provided a good resistance to Real in the first half after which they had the lead with 2-1, but they dropped in the second half and in the end it was 5-3 for the guests.
It was the fourth match this season where they received five or more goals, and with exactly 50 received goals they have one of the weakest defences in the league. They do not want to continue the trend of the results in the series by two, because that means they should lose the match in which they are still slight favourites. Barragan has replaced Francis in the last round, while center-back Feddal is still out of action.
Probable lineups Betis Sevilla: Hitz – Framberger, Danso, Hinteregger, Max – Khedira, Moravek – Heller, Koo, Caiuby – Gregoritsch
Levante does not have problems with scoring goals and we expect them to play openly and win. Betis has been playing so since the beginning of the season both as guests and in front of their supporters, so we are forecasting an efficient duel here.
