Juventus Milan match preview

Due to Easter all matches scheduled of the 30th round of Italian Serie A will be played on Saturday and we have picked only the most interesting one, between leading Juventus and 6th-placed Milan, which has 25 points fewer at the moment. However, the Rossoneri come to Turin after winning last five league matches, while on the other hand the Old Lady won three previous head-to-head with Milan.

Juventus

Right because of that and fact that Juventus has just two points more than 2nd-placed Napoli at the moment, we have announcement from management of the reigning champion of Italy that they are interested at the moment just in victory, especially as Juventus merely drew 0-0 with SPAL away in previous round. True, before that team led by manager Allegry had 12-game winning streak in the league, and was successful in the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.

In the Italian Cup Juventus eliminated Atalanta and reached another great final where, interestingly enough, ih its rival will be no other team than Milan. In the Champions League, Juventus will play the 1st semi-final leg next week with reigning champion of Europe, Real Madrid, which defeated it last year in the final of that competition. However, Allegri stressed that at the moment he is interested only for the league match with Milan, which should skip injured defenders Chiellini and Alex Sandro, and wingers Cuadrado and Bernardeschi.

Probable lineups Juventus: Buffon – de Sciglio, Benatia, Rugani, Asamoah – Pjanic, Matuidi – Douglas Costa, Dybala, Mandzukic – Higuain

AC Milan

We have said in the introduction that the guests from Milan come to Turin after five-game winning streak in the league, which propelled them at the 6th place in the table, while on the other hand they couldn’t do much against Arsenal from London in the round of 16 of the Europa League, which eliminated them by aggregated 5-1. In the meantime team led by manager Gattus has eliminated Lazio and reach the final of the Coppa Italia, where will, as we have already said, face Juventus one more time.

However, Milan is interested right now only in the league where after latest good result has again joined the race for the Champions League, as at the moment it has just five points fewer than 4th-placed Inter, which will face next week in the late match of the 27th round. Right because of that it would be very important for the team’s morale to stay undefeated in Turin. Out of action are only from before injured defenders Conti and Abate.

Probable lineups AC Milan: G. Donnarumma – Calabria, Bonucci, Romagnoli, Rodriguez – Kessie, Biglia, Bonaventura – Suso, Cutrone, Calhanoglu

Verdict:

Having great respect for Milan’s eight-game unbeaten streak in the league of even seven wins and one draw, we need to have in mind that leading Juventus still fights for the Scudetto with 2nd-placed Napoli, which is why is interested at the moment in nothing but three new points.
