This duel is not particularly attractive, but it may be interesting and uncertain, given that both teams are somewhere around the middle of the table. Hannover has three points more and they are far away from the relegation zone, which is five points below Freiburg. The finish of the first part of the season was not the best for Hannover, and the start is similar in tone, with only one loss in four rounds. They were defeated by Wolfsburg on their field, while Hannover has managed to win two points in two unpleasant matches outside of their stadium. Particularly worthwhile is the one from Gelsenkirchen when they have played 1-1 against Schalke, and a draw from the last round against HSV can also be considered good because this team is fighting for survival.

They were a better team in their field and they had the lead till the very finish, when they received an equalizing goal. The opposing goalkeeper is the main culprit that Hannover did not celebrate in the team which only experienced one change after defeat by Wolfsburg. Korb came back to the team, and Sorg was left out. We do not expect any changes now.

SC Freiburg

Freiburg is moving further and further from the relegation zone, because this team has not lost for nine rounds and the only defeat they suffered in that series was the one in the Cup by Werder. In the championship they were last defeated by Wolfsburg in mid-November, while the results they achieved in the second part of the season are particularly valuable. Three draws and one win, however, their opponents were very strong and all from the top of the table. Leipzig has been defeated in their field, they played a draw with Frankfurt and Dortmund, and in the last round on their field with Bayer Leverkusen.

They became the first team that has not allowed Leverkusen to score a goal, which means that their defence has passed the exam after a weaker edition in Dortmund where their score was 2-2. There were also changes in composition, so Schwolow returned to the goal, while Kempfa was in the last line. Kleindienst was surprisingly in the attack, but now he could be back on the bench and that means Kempf is back. Haberer cannot play because of the suspension, so Kath will enter instead.

Overall, Hannover has showed more this season and it is shown on the table but Freiburg has long been undefeated and they are certainly able to provide good resistance and score at least one goal. Hannover should also score in their field.
